Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Community Officer to join our team in East Kalimantan (Kalimantan Timur). This role is focused on empowering low‑income women entrepreneurs by providing business mentorship, financial literacy, and access to micro‑financing solutions. The successful candidate will act as a trusted liaison between our organization and the community, fostering sustainable economic development and improving the quality of life for women in the region.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular visits to assigned villages and neighborhoods to build strong relationships with women micro‑entrepreneurs.
- Provide one‑on‑one and group training on basic financial management, budgeting, saving habits, and responsible borrowing.
- Facilitate group‑based loan disbursement without collateral, ensuring that each member understands the terms and repayment schedule.
- Monitor loan repayment progress, assist borrowers in maintaining discipline, and intervene promptly when repayment challenges arise.
- Gather feedback on community needs, identify new business opportunities, and propose tailored financial products to senior management.
- Collaborate with local NGOs, government agencies, and partner institutions to coordinate development programs and maximize impact.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, training sessions, and financial transactions using Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Prepare periodic reports summarizing outreach activities, loan performance, and success stories for internal and external stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of empowerment by encouraging peer‑to‑peer learning among women entrepreneurs.
- Represent the organization at community events, workshops, and local forums to raise awareness of our services.
Requirements
- Female candidates only.
- Age between 18 and 33 years.
- Minimum education: High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; Diploma (D3) or Bachelor’s degree (S1) is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for social interaction and community building.
- Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Detail‑oriented with solid organizational and record‑keeping capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data management and reporting.
- Adaptability to travel within the assigned region and work independently.
