Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of espresso‑based drinks, pour‑overs, cold brews, and specialty teas according to company recipes and quality standards.
- Handle and serve freshly baked goods, ensuring proper presentation and pairing suggestions for customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work station, adhering to food‑safety regulations and Lucky Lex’s high cleanliness standards.
- Operate and routinely service coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) to guarantee optimal performance.
- Engage with customers in a friendly, clear, and assertive manner, taking orders, answering product questions, and providing recommendations.
- Manage cash registers, process payments, and accurately record sales transactions.
- Monitor inventory levels, receive deliveries, and restock supplies such as beans, milk, syrups, and pastries.
- Assist in training new team members, sharing best practices for drink preparation and customer service.
- Respond quickly to peak‑hour pressure, multitasking efficiently while maintaining product quality.
- Participate in periodic staff meetings and contribute ideas for menu innovation and service improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 30 years old or younger.
- Not currently enrolled in a university program.
- At least 6 months of hands‑on experience in a coffee shop, café, or similar hospitality environment.
- Demonstrated basic understanding of coffee brewing techniques, drink composition, and bakery product handling.
- Excellent communication skills: articulate, clear, and confident when interacting with customers.
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain speed, and uphold honesty and integrity.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership of assigned tasks.
- High commitment to cleanliness, especially in the barista work area.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative and adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Physically and mentally fit to handle an 8‑hour shift schedule.
- Residence within reasonable commuting distance to the Hang Tuah branch.
- Own a motor vehicle or reliable transportation for shift changes and occasional deliveries.
- Flexible to work any shift, including weekends, with operating hours from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday through Sunday.
