Responsibilities

  • Assist head chefs and line cooks in preparing ingredients, including washing, chopping, marinating, and portioning.
  • Maintain a spotless workstation by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils throughout each shift.
  • Monitor inventory levels, report shortages, and help with receiving and storing deliveries according to safety guidelines.
  • Support the cooking process by moving dishes, plating meals, and ensuring timely service to diners.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper temperature controls and cross‑contamination prevention.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to coordinate workflow, especially during peak hours.
  • Help set up and break down kitchen stations for daily service and special events.
  • Participate in routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions to the kitchen manager.
  • Demonstrate leadership potential by guiding new assistants and sharing best practices.
  • Adapt quickly to changes in menu items, special dietary requests, and urgent service demands.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School (SMA) or Vocational School (SMK) graduate.
  • At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in a commercial kitchen or similar food‑service environment.
  • Strong work ethic with honesty, reliability, and a disciplined attitude.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to communicate clearly with chefs and fellow staff.
  • Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Leadership mindset – willing to take initiative and support peers when needed.
  • Basic cooking skills, including familiarity with common kitchen tools and techniques.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00, with occasional overtime during busy periods.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
