Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Guru Les Privat Matematika SMP to join our growing team of educators in Bandar Lampung. This position focuses on delivering high‑quality, individualized mathematics instruction to middle‑school students (SMP) and fostering a love of learning that will serve them throughout their academic journey. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, patient, creative, and able to build strong, supportive relationships with both students and their families.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned math lessons for students in grades 7‑9, adapting teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress through regular quizzes, assignments, and informal observations, providing constructive feedback and targeted remediation.
- Develop personalized learning plans that address individual strengths, weaknesses, and academic goals.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians, delivering progress reports and recommending strategies to support learning at home.
- Utilize modern educational technologies, such as interactive whiteboards and online resources, to enhance classroom interaction.
- Coordinate with fellow tutors and the center’s academic coordinators to ensure consistent instructional quality across subjects.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings, professional development workshops, and community outreach events.
- Uphold a safe, disciplined, and encouraging learning environment that promotes curiosity and confidence.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; candidates in the final semester of their degree are also considered.
- At least 1 year of proven tutoring or classroom teaching experience, preferably with middle‑school students.
- Strong passion for teaching mathematics and a genuine love for working with children.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: patient, disciplined, creative, and responsible.
- Age limit: 35 years or younger.
- Residency in Bandar Lampung and possession of a personal vehicle for commuting to student homes.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson materials and adapt content to varying skill levels.
- Proficiency in Indonesian language; additional language skills are a plus.
