- Coordinate a team of librarians and support staff, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
- Manage the circulation desk, ensuring efficient check‑in/check‑out processes, reservation handling, and timely response to user inquiries.
- Design and conduct information literacy workshops, reading programs, and community outreach events that promote lifelong learning.
- Maintain a quiet, welcoming environment that adheres to the institution’s code of conduct, including a strict non‑smoking policy.
- Collaborate with academic departments to align library resources with course requirements and research projects.
- Prepare regular reports on usage statistics, collection development, and service improvements for senior management.
- Uphold ethical standards by ensuring all library activities respect cultural sensitivities and religious values, including the ability to read and interpret Al‑Qur’an when required.
- Assist in budgeting, procurement, and vendor negotiations to secure high‑quality resources within allocated funds.
Requirements
- Minimum education: S1 in Library Science, Information Management, Education, or a related field.
- Age: No upper limit; candidates should demonstrate the vitality and commitment required for a full‑time schedule (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
- Gender: Preference for male applicants, in accordance with the institution’s current staffing policy.
- Proficiency in reading and reciting Al‑Qur’an, reflecting the organization’s spiritual ethos.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills, essential for delivering workshops and engaging with diverse user groups.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching, tutoring, or instructional support, with a record of academic or community achievements.
