Introduction
SPX Express, a leading logistics and courier provider in Indonesia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Kepala Operasi Kota for its Garut, Jawa Barat hub. This senior role will oversee the full spectrum of city‑level operations, ensuring that parcels move swiftly and safely from the first mile to the last mile while upholding the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
The successful candidate will be based in Kab. Garut, with occasional travel to neighboring cities and regions. This is a full‑time position with a Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (09:30 – 18:30) and offers a competitive compensation package aligned with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies to guarantee the safety of staff, partners, and the community within the assigned city.
- Lead day‑to‑day operations across all functional zones: First Mile collection, Sorting Center management, Middle Mile transit, and Last Mile delivery.
- Maintain and improve the Cost Per Parcel (CPP) metric, driving cost efficiency while preserving service quality.
- Ensure strict adherence to SPX Express Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI) throughout the operation team.
- Set performance targets that align with corporate goals, regularly tracking progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members in line with the company’s Learning & Development framework, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Apply Kaizen and Lean methodologies to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and boost operational excellence.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional departments—such as IT, Finance, and Customer Service—to ensure seamless integration of Transport/Freight Management Systems (TMS/FMS).
- Represent SPX Express in community and stakeholder engagements, strengthening the brand’s reputation in Garut and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) in any discipline; a background in logistics, business administration, or engineering is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in express or logistics operations, with proven responsibility for managing multiple regions or hubs.
- Deep knowledge of express courier workflows, including First Mile, Middle Mile, Sorting Center, and Last Mile operations.
- Demonstrated project management expertise, capable of planning, executing, and delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
- Strong people‑management skills, with a hands‑on leadership style that inspires teams to achieve operational solutions on the floor.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities; experience with Kaizen, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Proficiency in Transport/Freight Management Systems (TMS/FMS) and familiarity with data‑driven decision making.
- Willingness to be based in Kab. Garut and travel to other cities or regions as operational needs dictate.
