Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Medical Sales Representative to join our team in the Bantul region and surrounding districts (Blora, Rembang, Tuban, Banyumas, Cilacap). The role focuses on expanding our presence within the midwife (bidan) channel, delivering high‑quality medical products, and achieving aggressive sales targets. This is a full‑time position with standard working hours from 08:00 to 17:00, offering a competitive base salary plus performance‑based incentives. The successful candidate will act as the primary liaison between our company and healthcare professionals, ensuring product knowledge, availability, and satisfaction across the assigned territory.
Responsibilities
The Medical Sales Representative will be accountable for the full sales cycle, from prospecting to after‑sales support. Key duties include:
- Conducting regular field visits and detailed product presentations to midwives, ensuring they understand product benefits, proper usage, and compliance with clinical guidelines.
- Checking product stock levels at each client location, facilitating timely re‑orders, and coordinating with logistics to guarantee uninterrupted supply.
- Assisting customers with order placement, preparing quotations, and following up on delivery status.
- Monitoring and managing accounts receivable, ensuring that invoice payments from midwives are collected within agreed credit terms.
- Building and maintaining professional relationships with midwives, obstetric nurses, and other key opinion leaders to foster loyalty and repeat business.
- Achieving defined KPI targets, including sales value and volume, outlet coverage, and timely debt collection.
- Developing and maintaining a Master Customer List (MCL) and a fixed journey plan that guarantees each customer is visited according to schedule.
- Coordinating trade and marketing programs, ensuring promotional activities are executed uniformly and align with corporate objectives.
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports that capture performance metrics, market feedback, and the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Collaborating with internal teams—marketing, supply chain, and finance—to resolve issues, share insights, and improve overall service delivery.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will possess a blend of educational background, relevant experience, and personal attributes that enable success in a fast‑paced medical sales environment.
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (any field); a science‑related degree is considered an advantage.
- At least 1 year of proven experience as a medical or health‑care sales representative, preferably dealing with medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or health‑care consumables.
- Strong integrity, honesty, and a customer‑focused mindset.
- Demonstrated ability to create detailed sales plans, including visit schedules and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, midwives, and pharmacists.
- Proficiency in analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and adjusting tactics to meet targets.
- Valid motorcycle license (SIM C) and ownership of a properly registered motorcycle for field travel.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory, which may include remote or rural locations.
