Introduction

We are seeking a motivated Motorist Sales Specialist to join our dynamic sales team in Singkawang. This front‑line role focuses on expanding our product presence across local retail outlets such as kiosks, small grocery stores (kelontong), and traditional warungs. The ideal candidate will combine a strong work ethic with a customer‑focused mindset, delivering daily sales targets while maintaining accurate reporting for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and visit potential retail outlets within the assigned territory, presenting product features and benefits tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and promotional arrangements to secure new orders and foster repeat business.
  • Maintain a minimum of X outlet visits per day, ensuring coverage of all high‑potential locations as defined by the client’s criteria.
  • Collect and verify purchase orders, coordinate with the logistics team to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Prepare and submit a detailed daily sales report to the Team Leader, highlighting achieved targets, challenges faced, and opportunities for growth.
  • Provide after‑sales support, addressing any product inquiries, complaints, or return processes promptly.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and consumer preferences to advise the sales manager on strategic adjustments.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to continuously develop sales techniques and product knowledge.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Gender: Male (as per client specifications).
  • At least 1 year of proven experience in direct sales, preferably within FMCG, consumer goods, or motor‑vehicle related products.
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle and a clean driving record; ability to travel independently across Singkawang and surrounding areas.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with small‑business owners.
  • Self‑discipline to manage a Monday‑Saturday schedule (08:00 – 17:00) and meet daily reporting deadlines.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Excel, Word) for accurate report generation.
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and a results‑driven attitude.
