Introduction
The Officer Regulator Senior – Compliance & Oversight plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our cosmetic products meet all regulatory requirements set by the Indonesian Food and Drug Authority (BPOM). This senior‑level position is responsible for managing product notifications, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and acting as the bridge between regulatory affairs and cross‑functional teams such as R&D, Quality Assurance, Production, and Marketing. The successful candidate will be a detail‑oriented professional with a strong background in pharmacy, chemistry, or biology, and at least one year of hands‑on experience with BPOM registration processes.
Working hours are Monday to Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, offering a structured yet dynamic environment where regulatory expertise directly influences product launch timelines and market success.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and submit all cosmetic product notifications to BPOM, ensuring timely approval and compliance with national regulations.
- Prepare, review, and manage the Product Information File (PIF) and Centralised Product Notification Portal (CPNP) documents, guaranteeing completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct thorough verification of raw material specifications, ingredient safety data, and formulation stability to support regulatory submissions.
- Validate that product labels, packaging claims, and marketing messages comply with BPOM labeling guidelines and advertising standards.
- Collaborate closely with R&D, QA, Production, and Marketing teams to gather necessary data, resolve compliance gaps, and streamline the product development cycle.
- Monitor updates to cosmetic regulations, industry standards, and emerging guidance from BPOM, providing proactive recommendations to senior management.
- Develop internal SOPs and training materials to educate staff on regulatory best practices and ensure consistent adherence across the organization.
- Maintain a comprehensive audit trail of all regulatory interactions, submissions, and correspondence for internal and external inspections.
Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (S1) in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in BPOM registration, preferably within the cosmetics or personal care industry.
- Deep understanding of Indonesian cosmetic regulations, product notification procedures, and label compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in preparing and managing PIF and CPNP documentation, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English, enabling effective liaison with internal teams and regulatory authorities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving capabilities, and a commitment to continuous learning in a fast‑changing regulatory landscape.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with regulatory tracking software.
