Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented individual to join our team as a Florist and Operational Administrator. This dual‑role position blends creative floral design with the efficient management of daily store operations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for flowers, strong customer service skills, and the ability to keep the shop running smoothly under a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and assemble fresh flower arrangements for weddings, corporate events, and everyday customer orders, ensuring high aesthetic standards and adherence to client specifications.
- Maintain inventory of all floral supplies, greenery, vases, and related accessories using a store management system, placing orders with suppliers to avoid stockouts.
- Handle point‑of‑sale transactions, process payments, and issue invoices while maintaining accurate daily cash reconciliation.
- Coordinate delivery schedules, liaise with courier partners, and ensure timely, safe transport of delicate arrangements.
- Monitor and enforce store cleanliness, hygiene, and visual merchandising standards to create an inviting shopping atmosphere.
- Assist in budgeting and cost‑control activities, tracking expenses related to flowers, equipment, and utilities.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in‑person, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling complementary products such as gift items and décor.
- Prepare weekly sales reports and operational metrics for management review, highlighting trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Train and mentor junior staff or apprentices on proper handling of cut flowers, arrangement techniques, and customer service best practices.
- Work collaboratively with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns, seasonal displays, and social‑media content showcasing new floral designs.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in floral design or related retail environment.
- Proficiency with a store management system or point‑of‑sale software.
- Strong communication skills; ability to listen to client needs and convey ideas clearly.
- Honest, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality of business information.
- Team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to fluctuating customer demand.
