Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Operator PLC – Pengendali Proses Otomasi Industri to join our dynamic automation team in Gresik, East Java. This entry‑level position is ideal for recent graduates in Electrical Engineering or candidates with up to one year of hands‑on experience in programmable logic controller (PLC) operations. As an integral part of our production floor, you will support the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, ensuring high‑quality output while adhering to strict safety and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, diagnose, and adjust PLC‑controlled machinery to maintain optimal production flow.
- Execute routine start‑up and shut‑down procedures for Direct Machine PLC systems.
- Collect and analyze process data, generating daily reports that highlight deviations and suggest corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance engineers to troubleshoot hardware or software faults, escalating critical issues as needed.
- Participate in scheduled preventive maintenance activities, documenting all interventions in the maintenance log.
- Assist in the implementation of minor process upgrades and pilot projects, providing feedback on usability and performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and environmental guidelines.
- Maintain clear communication with shift supervisors, providing concise hand‑over briefs at the end of each workday.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen by identifying bottlenecks and recommending solutions.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Experience: Fresh graduates are welcome; candidates may have up to 1 year of relevant experience operating PLC systems.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of PLC programming, troubleshooting, and direct‑machine control interfaces.
- Analytical Ability: Strong problem‑solving mindset with the capacity to interpret process data and make data‑driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to convey technical information clearly to non‑technical staff.
- Leadership Potential: Demonstrated teamwork and the willingness to take initiative when coordinating shift activities.
- Personal Attributes: High level of reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward learning.
- Location: Willingness to be placed full‑time in Gresik, East Java.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
