We are seeking a motivated and reliable Store Assistant for Agricultural Products to join our growing team. This position is based in a bustling retail environment that specializes in farming supplies, seeds, fertilizers, and a range of agro‑industry products. As the front‑line representative of our store, you will play a critical role in ensuring that both small‑scale farmers and larger agribusinesses receive accurate information, timely assistance, and a pleasant shopping experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on seeds, tools, fertilizers, and other agro‑products.
- Maintain an organized and well‑stocked sales floor, including regular inventory checks, product rotation, and shelf labeling according to company standards.
- Process transactions accurately using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, handle cash, credit, and mobile payments, and issue receipts.
- Assist in receiving deliveries, unpacking merchandise, and updating inventory records in the computer system.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting for customers’ equipment queries, directing more complex issues to senior staff or technical specialists.
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet daily and weekly sales targets, sharing insights on popular items and emerging customer trends.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, especially when handling organic or chemical products.
- Participate in periodic store promotions, product demonstrations, and community outreach events aimed at local farming communities.
- Provide post‑sale support, including follow‑up calls or emails to confirm customer satisfaction and resolve any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, orderly work environment by performing regular housekeeping duties and adhering to shift schedules, including weekends.
Requirements
- Educational background: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: Up to 40 years old; applicants must be Muslim or Muslimah.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to explain product features clearly.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to cooperate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with POS software, Microsoft Office, and inventory management tools.
- Honesty, attention to detail, and a willingness to work rotating shifts (Monday to Saturday, 08:00–17:00).
- Initiative, flexibility, and the capacity to remain calm and productive under pressure.
- Customer‑service orientation, with a focus on building long‑term relationships with farmers and agribusiness clients.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads (up to 25 kg) when restocking shelves.
