Responsibilities
- Operate industrial and domestic sewing machines to stitch fabric panels according to pattern specifications.
- Perform hand‑sewing tasks such as attaching buttons, hooks, zippers, and decorative trims.
- Assist the lead designer in preparing sample garments, ensuring accurate fit and finish.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including proper handling of tools, needles, threads, and fabric rolls.
- Inspect finished pieces for quality, identify any defects, and make necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Collaborate with cutting and finishing teams to streamline the production flow and meet daily output targets.
- Document any pattern modifications or sewing techniques used, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, especially when handling heavy equipment or sharp tools.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to stay current with new sewing technologies and fabric treatments.
- Provide occasional support in fabric selection and material handling during peak seasons.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; graduates from a vocational sewing program are highly encouraged to apply.
- Female candidates only, age not exceeding 40 years.
- Basic proficiency with both machine and hand sewing; ability to operate a standard sewing machine is required, while advanced garment construction skills are a plus.
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a keen eye for stitching consistency.
- Reliability and willingness to work on‑site at our production facility.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with designers, supervisors, and fellow seamstresses.
- Ability to follow written and visual instructions, including pattern markings and technical sheets.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive motions safely.
- Positive attitude, teamwork orientation, and a willingness to learn new techniques.
