Responsibilities
- Monitor swimming areas and beachfront zones continuously to detect any signs of distress or unsafe behavior.
- Perform rescues using approved techniques, including swimming, diving, and the use of rescue equipment such as flotation devices, rescue tubes, and jet skis.
- Administer first aid and basic life support, including CPR, until emergency medical services arrive.
- Enforce beach rules and safety regulations, providing clear guidance to visitors on proper conduct, swimming zones, and weather‑related hazards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment, signage, and the shoreline to ensure compliance with local health and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of incidents, rescues, and daily observations, reporting them to senior management and relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement, coast guard, and medical personnel during large events or emergency situations.
- Participate in routine training drills, fitness programs, and certification renewals to keep skills current.
- Assist in public education initiatives, such as water safety workshops and community outreach programs.
- Operate under high‑pressure conditions, especially during peak tourist seasons or adverse weather, while remaining calm and focused.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.

- Demonstrated experience in lifeguarding, water rescue, or a related aquatic safety field (experience level may vary).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey safety instructions clearly.

- Capacity to perform under stress, making rapid, sound decisions during emergencies.
