Responsibilities
The Picker Hub role is split into two closely linked functions – Picker and Packer – each essential to ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Picker duties
- Continuously monitor the New Order dashboard for incoming requests.
- Print and verify inventory (INV) orders to confirm item details.
- Locate and retrieve items from storage locations according to the printed order, ensuring correct quantities and product conditions.
- Maintain a tidy picking zone, reporting any stock discrepancies or damaged goods to the supervisor.
- Packer duties
- Scan each barcode on the order sheet to confirm that the correct product is being packed.
- Package items securely following company‑specified guidelines (e.g., protective padding, labeling, and sealing).
- Initiate the driver dispatch process through the warehouse management system, “calling” the appropriate driver for each order.
- Load packed goods into the driver’s bag or cart, hand over the package, and record the hand‑off in the system.
- Perform final quality checks to ensure that all documentation matches the physical shipment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily order‑fulfilment targets and maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMP/MTS or equivalent.
- Maximum age: 35 years.
- Gender: Male (as per client’s current operational policy).
- Experience: No prior experience required; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Key skills:
- Ability to follow detailed instructions with precision.
- Basic computer literacy for operating order‑management and scanning systems.
- Strong attention to detail to prevent picking or packing errors.
- Good physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting moderate loads throughout an 8‑hour shift.
- Effective communication for coordinating with drivers and warehouse supervisors.
- Availability to work the standard shift of 08:00 – 17:00, with the exact work‑day schedule to be confirmed during onboarding.
