Responsibilities
- Arrange, stock, and meticulously inspect the quality of all fruit and vegetable items to guarantee freshness and compliance with food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels throughout the day, promptly rotating stock and replacing any produce that is damaged, over‑ripe, or no longer fit for sale.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free work area, adhering to the store’s strict hygiene protocols and national food safety regulations.
- Provide courteous, knowledgeable assistance to shoppers, offering recommendations, answering product‑related questions, and helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with the procurement and logistics teams to coordinate deliveries, perform receiving checks, and ensure proper handling of incoming produce.
- Document daily activities, such as stock counts, spoilage reports, and sales observations, to support inventory management and loss‑prevention initiatives.
- Participate in periodic training sessions on food safety, customer service excellence, and product knowledge to continuously improve performance.
- Assist in promotional activities, including setting up seasonal displays, signage, and price‑tag updates to drive sales.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- No prior experience required; fresh graduates and entry‑level candidates are welcome.
- Strong physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift produce, and handle repetitive tasks.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to convey product information clearly.
- Demonstrated interest in retail, especially in the fresh‑produce segment.
- Knowledge of basic food safety practices and a commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Honesty, reliability, and a high degree of personal integrity.
- Attention to detail when inspecting and labeling items.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends, with hours typically from 07:00 to 15:00, Monday through Saturday.
