Introduction
We are seeking a reliable and disciplined Security Backup professional to join our team in Pangkalan Pinang on a daily‑rate basis. This position is designed specifically to provide immediate coverage for absent personnel, ensuring continuous protection of our facilities, assets, and personnel. The role offers a competitive daily wage and a structured shift schedule that runs from 07:00 to 19:00, Monday through Saturday.
Responsibilities
The primary focus of the Security Backup is to act as a seamless substitute for regular security staff who are unavailable. In addition to basic site‑monitoring duties, the incumbent will be expected to:
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle, checking for unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, or safety hazards.
- Control access points by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and logging all entries and exits.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, following established protocols and reporting to senior supervisors.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports, and shift handover documentation.
- Conduct routine inspections of security equipment (e.g., CCTV, fire extinguishers, communication devices) and report any deficiencies.
- Assist in crowd management during special events or peak periods, ensuring orderly flow and compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Uphold company policies, dress code, and professional conduct at all times, representing the organization positively to clients and visitors.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications and possess the attributes necessary to perform effectively in a fast‑paced security environment.
- Gender: Male
- Age: 40 years old or younger
- Education: Minimum high school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven security experience, preferably in a similar backup or substitute role
- Licensing: Active Security Personnel Card (KTA) and valid Garda Pratama (GP) certification
- Uniform: Own complete security uniform and personal protective equipment
- Work Schedule: Willingness to work rotating shifts, including 12‑hour days
- Soft Skills: Strong observational abilities, effective communication, calm under pressure, and a high degree of integrity
- Physical Fitness: Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods
