Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Waiter – Food and Beverage Service to join our dynamic team in Jember and surrounding areas. Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and escort them to their tables, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about ingredients, dietary restrictions, and preparation methods.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using handheld POS systems, relaying them to the kitchen and bar staff efficiently.
- Serve meals and drinks with proper etiquette, checking for guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including table setting, resetting, and polishing silverware.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate timing of courses, manage special requests, and handle any issues that arise.
- Process payments, issue receipts, and handle cash transactions in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards, conducting regular inspections of workstations and dining spaces.
- Assist in inventory checks for napkins, cutlery, and table linens, reporting shortages to the manager.
- Participate in pre‑shift briefings and post‑shift debriefings to share feedback and improve service quality.
Requirements
- Gender: Female
- Age: 18‑25 years
- Education: Minimum SMA/SMK or equivalent
- Experience: At least 1 year in a kitchen or front‑of‑house role within the food & beverage industry
- Physical & mental fitness: Ability to stand for long periods, lift trays, and maintain a cheerful demeanor under pressure
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and guest satisfaction
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work Monday through Saturday, 08:00‑17:00
- Residency: Must reside in Jember or nearby districts
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic beverage service techniques
