Responsibilities
- Prepare pasta as the primary menu item, following standardized recipes to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Cook additional menu items such as sauces, side dishes, and salads, adapting to seasonal ingredients and special event requests.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen assistants, servers, and event coordinators to deliver seamless service and uphold a high‑quality dining experience.
- Participate in off‑site catering events, transporting equipment safely and setting up cooking stations as required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, track ingredient usage, and document any waste or discarded materials for cost control.
- Execute daily cleaning protocols, including sanitizing work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas to meet health‑code regulations.
- Monitor food safety standards, ensuring proper temperature control, cross‑contamination prevention, and timely rotation of stock.
- Assist in menu planning sessions, offering suggestions for new pasta variations or complementary dishes based on customer feedback.
- Provide on‑the‑job training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and growth‑oriented environment.
- Respond promptly to any operational issues, adapting workflow during peak hours to maintain service speed without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Male candidates only, as specified by the client’s operational needs.
- At least 3 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably with a focus on pasta or Italian‑style cuisine.
- Proven ability to work 9:30 AM – 8:30 PM (adjusted to 10:30 AM – 9:30 PM during Ramadan).
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, hygiene practices, and kitchen sanitation.
- Excellent time‑management skills to coordinate multiple dishes simultaneously.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with front‑of‑house staff and event organizers.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle the demands of a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work 3‑6 days per week, based on business needs and event schedules.
- Basic record‑keeping skills for inventory tracking and waste reporting.
