Introduction
We are seeking a proactive Supervisor of Procurement and Purchasing to lead our sourcing operations and ensure the seamless acquisition of goods and services across the organization. This pivotal role combines strategic planning, supplier relationship management, cost control, and team leadership to support our business objectives and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily procurement activities, optimizing inventory levels, negotiating favorable contracts, and guiding a dedicated procurement team. You will work closely with the warehouse, finance, and operations departments to align purchasing decisions with budgetary constraints and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Procurement Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise all daily procurement tasks to guarantee timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor stock levels in partnership with the warehouse and inventory teams, initiating re‑orders before shortages arise.
- Vendor & Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and qualify reliable suppliers; conduct rigorous performance assessments.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contract conditions to secure the best value for the organization.
- Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers to foster long‑term partnerships.
- Cost Control & Budgeting: Align procurement activities with approved budgets, perform price comparisons, and conduct detailed cost‑benefit analyses.
- Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
- Team Supervision: Lead a team of procurement officers, assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and provide coaching and training.
- Develop clear performance metrics and conduct regular reviews to encourage continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all purchasing actions adhere to company SOPs, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation—including purchase orders, invoices, contracts, and audit trails—to support internal and external audits.
- Reporting: Prepare comprehensive procurement reports on a monthly and quarterly basis, highlighting trends, supplier performance, and potential risks.
- Provide actionable insights to senior management to support strategic decision‑making.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain functions.
- Strong analytical skills: budget analysis, material requirement planning, and supplier performance evaluation.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Effective communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop a small team.
- Attention to detail and a high level of integrity in handling confidential information.
