Responsibilities
- Conduct daily pre‑trip inspections of the truck, checking brakes, lights, tire pressure, and fluid levels to ensure roadworthiness.
- Load and unload freight safely, securing cargo with straps, nets, or pallets in accordance with company SOPs.
- Plan optimal routes using GPS and map resources, taking into account traffic conditions, road restrictions, and delivery windows.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
- Interact courteously with warehouse staff, clients, and dispatchers, confirming load details and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, company safety policies, and environmental regulations, reporting any violations immediately.
- Perform routine vehicle cleaning and basic maintenance tasks, such as checking oil and reporting mechanical issues to the fleet manager.
- Collaborate with team members on peak‑season schedules, assisting colleagues when extra manpower is needed.
- Participate in regular safety briefings and attend mandatory training sessions on defensive driving and cargo handling.
- Provide feedback to management on route efficiencies, equipment performance, and customer service improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Gender: Male (as stipulated by the client’s operational policy).
- Age: Up to 45 years old.
- Valid Indonesian SIM A (motorcycle) and SIM B (automobile) licenses.
- Good physical and mental health; must pass a standard medical examination.
- Honest, responsible, and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Non‑smoker, with a clean driving record.
- Basic proficiency with mobile communication devices and simple logistics software.
- Preferably some experience in truck driving or related transportation roles, though entry‑level candidates with the right attitude are welcome.
