Introduction
We are seeking a motivated Teknisi Instalasi dan Pemeliharaan Fiber Optik to join our rapidly expanding telecommunications team. As a key player in the delivery of high‑speed internet services, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fiber‑optic infrastructure for residential and business customers across the region. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, safety‑conscious, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Pull and route fiber‑optic cables to new customer premises, ensuring compliance with technical standards and local regulations.
- Terminate drop‑core cables in Optical Distribution Points (ODP) and at customer hand‑over points, using precision splicing tools.
- Diagnose and remediate optical loss issues both at the ODP and on‑site, performing corrective cable replacements when necessary.
- Carry out complete fiber‑optic installations, including conduit work, cable management, and labeling for future maintenance.
- Activate customer modems, configure network settings, and verify that internet services meet agreed‑upon performance metrics.
- Conduct final site clean‑up and aesthetic tidying to maintain a professional appearance of all installations.
- Document all work orders, material usage, and service reports in the company’s CRM system.
- Collaborate with the network operations center to schedule maintenance windows and report any systemic issues.
- Participate in shift rotations, including night and weekend shifts, to support 24‑hour service availability.
- Continuously improve technical skills through on‑the‑job training and certification programs.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; preferably a diploma in Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ) or related field.
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in fiber‑optic installation or telecommunications maintenance.
- Solid understanding of fiber‑optic networking principles, loss measurements, and basic internet concepts.
- Proficiency in operating splicing equipment and test instruments such as OTDR and power meters.
- Own reliable motorbike or vehicle and a valid SIM C (motorcycle license) for field travel.
- Willingness to work in a shifting schedule (including weekends) and handle high‑intensity workloads while meeting performance targets.
- Strong communication skills, honesty, and a customer‑first attitude.
- Ability to read technical schematics, follow safety protocols, and work independently or as part of a team.
