We are currently seeking a motivated Wi‑Fi Network Technician to join our field operations crew. This hands‑on role will involve the full lifecycle of network deployment, from site preparation to ongoing maintenance, ensuring that our customers enjoy seamless, high‑speed wireless service.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute cable pulling operations, ensuring proper routing, tension control, and compliance with safety standards.
- Install and secure poles, brackets, and mounting hardware for Wi‑Fi access points, antennas, and related equipment.
- Perform end‑to‑end installation of Wi‑Fi hardware, including routers, switches, power‑over‑Ethernet (PoE) injectors, and back‑haul links.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on network infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot connectivity issues, using tools such as spectrum analyzers, cable testers, and network monitoring software.
- Document all field activities, including as‑built diagrams, equipment inventory, and service reports, in the company’s central database.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to meet project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Adhere strictly to occupational safety and health regulations, especially when working at heights or handling heavy equipment.
- Provide on‑site training and guidance to junior staff and local partners on proper installation practices.
- Assist in inventory management, ensuring that spares, cables, and tools are stocked and accounted for.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; graduates of SMK Teknik, especially those with a focus on Telekomunikasi dan Jaringan (TKJ), are strongly preferred.
- Age: 30 years old or younger.
- Gender: Male (as the role may involve tasks that require physical strength and work at heights).
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in cable installation, pole erection, or wireless network deployment.
- Physical fitness: Must be comfortable working at heights, climbing ladders or towers, and lifting moderate loads.
- Valid Indonesian driver’s license (SIM A or C) for traveling between sites.
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities to diagnose technical problems quickly.
- Excellent multitasking skills: ability to juggle installation, testing, and documentation within tight schedules.
- Team‑player mindset with good communication skills, capable of coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
- Positive work ethic, high motivation, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
