Responsibilities
As a SAT/ACT Tutor, you will be the primary facilitator of classroom instruction and individual coaching. Your day‑to‑day duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Delivering high‑quality, interactive lessons for SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) or ACT (American College Testing) to groups of 5–15 students.
- Designing curriculum modules, practice worksheets, and test‑taking strategies aligned with the latest College Board and ACT guidelines.
- Analyzing official practice test results to identify strengths and weaknesses, then providing targeted feedback that accelerates improvement.
- Monitoring each student’s progress through weekly score reports, adjusting lesson plans to address emerging gaps.
- Conducting mock examinations under timed conditions to build stamina and confidence.
- Facilitating group discussions that encourage peer learning and critical thinking.
- Maintaining accurate attendance and performance records in our learning management system.
- Participating in regular faculty meetings and professional development workshops to stay current with test format changes.
Requirements
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a blend of academic credentials, test‑taking expertise, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in any discipline; degrees in Education, English, Mathematics, or Science are a plus.
- Test Scores: Competitive official SAT and/or ACT scores (or verified practice test results) must be submitted with the application.
- Experience: Prior tutoring or teaching experience with SAT/ACT students is highly valued, though fresh graduates with strong subject mastery are welcomed.
- Language Proficiency: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Subject Knowledge: Solid grounding in Mathematics, Critical Reading, Writing, and basic Science concepts covered on the exams.
- Soft Skills: Engaging presentation style, patience, active listening, and the ability to motivate diverse learners.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with virtual classroom tools (Zoom, Google Meet) and online test‑prep platforms.
- Other: Must submit an up‑to‑date CV; gender is not a restriction; no age limit.
