Job Summary
The Production Planning Specialist will be based in Batam, Indonesia.
Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:
Review production schedules and related information and confers with department managers to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
Develop production plan and may release manufacturing orders to support plan.
Coordinate the requisition of material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments, according to job order priorities and material availability.
Communicate quality issues including shut down of the process if it's jeopardizing the integrity of STI's quality commitment.
Coordinate material delivery with warehouse personnel to support manufacturing schedule and examine material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications.
Determine daily product pack schedules to support overall production schedule and product on-time delivery.
Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
Performs system transactions to report movement of material between manufacturing operations and into finished goods and tracks/reports daily progress of manufacturing orders against goal.
Notify Production Planning Manager of critical movement material and production situations that could impact schedule attainment.
Compute amount of material required to complete job orders.
Compile and maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in process production reports, and status and location of materials.
Track and report some key manufacturing metrics, such as cycle time against goal efficiency and assists in cycle time reduction and efficiency improvement efforts.
Monitor and control movement of material and parts on automated conveyor system.
Interface with customers' procurement personnel concerning short-term product delivery commitments.
Facilitate special transportation of product to meet customer needs.
Expedite overtime planning and communication of schedules to other internal departments.
Perform system transactions to ship product to customers and tracks status of actual shipment against goals.
Here is some of what you’ll need (required):
Bachelor Degree in related field
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in similar capacity
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Good interpersonal and communication skills
