Known for its Korean‑inspired bakery and pastry creations, TOUS les JOURS delivers premium, handcrafted breads, cakes, and desserts to a growing base of enthusiastic customers.
We are now looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Kitchen Bakery & Pastry (Cook/Baker) to join our newest outlet at DP Mall, Semarang. This role offers a unique chance to work in a fast‑paced, creative environment while honing your baking skills alongside seasoned professionals.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and finish a wide variety of breads, viennoiseries, cakes, and pastries according to TOUS les JOURS standards.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately, ensuring consistency in texture, flavor, and appearance.
- Execute daily production plans, manage inventory of raw materials, and rotate stock to minimize waste.
- Perform cake‑decoration tasks, including fondant work, piping, and custom design requests for birthdays, weddings, and corporate events.
- Maintain strict hygiene and food‑safety protocols, including regular cleaning of equipment, workstations, and adherence to HACCP guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with front‑of‑house staff to ensure timely delivery of fresh products during peak service hours.
- Monitor oven temperatures, proofing times, and other critical baking parameters to achieve optimal product quality.
- Participate in recipe development and testing of new seasonal items, contributing ideas that reflect current market trends.
- Assist in training junior kitchen assistants and share best practices to elevate overall team performance.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the Store Manager promptly.
Requirements
- Male candidates, maximum age of 30 years.
- Minimum education: SMK or equivalent with a focus on Culinary Arts, Food Production, or Patisserie (preferred).
- At least 1 year of professional experience as a baker in a bakery, pastry shop, or similar establishment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of bread fermentation, dough handling, and pastry techniques.
- Experience in cake decoration is highly desirable.
- Strong work ethic, honesty, and a high degree of responsibility.
- Completed COVID‑19 booster vaccination.
- Willingness to work early‑morning shifts (05:00 – 13:00, Tuesday to Sunday).
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑moving, customer‑focused environment.
