Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver daily lessons in drawing, painting, and visual arts that align with national curriculum standards.
- Develop innovative lesson plans, project‑based activities, and interdisciplinary units that integrate art with subjects such as science, history, and language arts.
- Assess student work through rubrics, provide constructive feedback, and track progress in a portfolio system.
- Identify and nurture individual student talents, offering mentorship for advanced projects, school exhibitions, and local art competitions.
- Organize and supervise school‑wide art events, exhibitions, and community outreach programs that showcase student creations.
- Maintain a safe, well‑stocked, and organized art studio, ensuring proper handling of materials and adherence to health‑safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to incorporate visual‑arts strategies into broader classroom instruction.
- Participate in professional development workshops, staff meetings, and curriculum review sessions.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student achievements, upcoming projects, and ways to support artistic development at home.
Requirements
- Minimum education: S1 in Seni Rupa, Pendidikan Seni, or a closely related field (D3/D4 acceptable with strong portfolio).
- Maximum age: 35 years (flexible for exceptional candidates).
- At least 1 year of teaching experience in elementary or primary education; prior experience in art instruction is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in drawing, painting, mixed media, and digital art tools.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is a plus.
- Strong classroom management abilities, patience, discipline, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Creative mindset with the ability to design curriculum that sparks curiosity and self‑expression.
