We are seeking a dynamic and experienced English Language Instructor (Guru Bahasa Inggris) to join our growing network of schools in Indonesia. Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English language lessons that align with Cambridge IGCSE and A‑Level standards.
- Develop customized teaching materials, including worksheets, multimedia presentations, and assessment tools, to cater to diverse learner needs.
- Provide constructive feedback on student assignments, oral presentations, and examinations to promote continuous improvement.
- Facilitate classroom discussions that encourage critical thinking, cultural awareness, and effective communication in English.
- Monitor student progress through regular quizzes, mock exams, and data‑driven reports, and intervene with targeted support when necessary.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum coordinators, and school leadership to ensure curriculum coherence and share best practices.
- Participate in professional development workshops, teacher training sessions, and school events to stay current with pedagogical trends.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment that adheres to the school’s code of conduct.
- Engage with parents and guardians through parent‑teacher meetings, newsletters, and digital platforms to discuss student performance and goals.
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as debate clubs, literary societies, or English language camps.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, English Language Teaching, or a closely related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Graduated from a State or Private university with an “A” accreditation.
- Minimum GPA: 3.00 for Bachelor’s degree; 3.25 for Master’s degree.
- At least one year of proven teaching experience, preferably with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Fluent in both spoken and written English; possession of TOEFL, IELTS, or CAE certificate is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire learners of varied ages.
- Passion for education and a commitment to fostering a love of language and literature.
- Willingness to be based in Bandung, Medan, or Cirebon and travel as required.
- Maximum age of 30 years (flexible for exceptional candidates).
- Proficiency in using digital teaching tools, online learning platforms, and Microsoft Office suite.
