Introduction
We are seeking a highly motivated Front Desk Professional to join our hospitality team at a prestigious 5‑star hotel. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering seamless check‑in and check‑out experiences while upholding the highest standards of service excellence. Workdays run from Monday to Saturday, with operational hours of 08:00 – 17:00. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays is essential to meet the demands of a world‑class hospitality operation.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, manage arrivals and departures, and ensure a smooth flow of front‑desk operations.
- Handle reservations, room assignments, and special requests using the property management system.
- Provide accurate information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation options.
- Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally, escalating complex issues to the supervisor when necessary.
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage teams to fulfill guest needs.
- Maintain meticulous records of guest interactions, billing details, and daily reports.
- Uphold the hotel’s brand standards through impeccable appearance, courteous language, and a positive attitude.
- Assist in training new front‑desk staff and, for supervisory candidates, lead shift briefings and performance reviews.
- Monitor and control cash handling, credit card transactions, and end‑of‑day reconciliations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by sharing guest feedback and suggesting process enhancements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a front‑desk or guest‑service role, preferably within a 5‑star hotel environment.
- Fresh graduates are welcome for the Front Desk Agent (FDA) entry‑level position.
- Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written, are mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Leadership qualities and supervisory experience (2‑3 years) for candidates applying to the Supervisor role.
- Detail‑oriented mindset with a relentless focus on service excellence.
- Professional grooming, a polished appearance, and a consistently positive demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software and basic computer applications.
