Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Barista to join our vibrant coffee‑house team. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about specialty coffee, enjoy fast‑paced environments, and thrive on delivering exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will work Monday through Saturday, creating high‑quality beverages, maintaining a clean workspace, and contributing to a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of espresso‑based drinks, pour‑overs, cold brews, and specialty beverages according to company standards.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and brewing devices, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Engage with customers, taking orders, answering menu questions, and providing recommendations based on personal taste profiles.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service counter, seating area, and back‑of‑house storage throughout the shift.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and consumables; report shortages and assist with stock replenishment.
- Handle cash transactions and operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems accurately.
- Collaborate closely with fellow team members to ensure smooth workflow during peak hours.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, performing regular equipment cleaning and sanitization.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on new brewing techniques, seasonal menu items, and customer service best practices.
- Contribute ideas for menu development, promotional events, and community outreach initiatives.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 18‑35 years (maximum 35 years).
- At least 1 year of proven barista experience in a fast‑service coffee environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment safely.
- Strong teamwork orientation with excellent communication skills.
- High level of integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekend shifts (Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00).
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory tracking.
- Passion for coffee culture and a willingness to continuously improve brewing knowledge.
