Introduction
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Barista to join our vibrant coffee‑shop team. The position is based at our flagship location, a modern boutique café that serves a diverse clientele ranging from busy professionals to casual weekend visitors. As a specialist in beverage preparation, you will be the face of our brand, delivering high‑quality coffee and non‑coffee drinks while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso‑based drinks, brewed coffee, specialty teas, smoothies, and seasonal mocktails.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other beverage equipment with precision and care.
- Serve as a backup cashier during peak periods, accurately handling cash, credit transactions, and POS system entries.
- Monitor inventory levels, record daily stock usage, and report any shortages or discrepancies to the store manager.
- Maintain strict cleanliness and organization of the service booth, prep stations, and surrounding areas in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Engage customers with friendly, knowledgeable service, offering product recommendations and upselling pastries or specialty items.
- Assist in training new team members on drink preparation, equipment operation, and customer service protocols.
- Participate in regular shift briefings, providing feedback on workflow improvements and customer preferences.
- Ensure all beverages are presented consistently according to brand standards and visual guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively, supporting colleagues, and adapting to dynamic work demands.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- Age: 30 years old or younger.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- At least one year of experience in a coffee‑shop, café, or similar hospitality setting.
- Proficiency in operating espresso machines, grinders, and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
- Strong multitasking abilities: ability to juggle drink preparation, cash handling, and customer interaction simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering a memorable guest experience.
- Attention to detail, especially regarding drink recipes, portion control, and cleanliness.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and inventory tracking.
- Flexibility to work the scheduled shift of 14:00 – 22:00 and adapt to varying weekend or holiday hours as needed.
