Introduction

This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with rural households, helping them access affordable financing and improve their economic well‑being. The position is based in Ciamis, West Java, and candidates must be willing to travel throughout the region and, when required, to other Amartha branches across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect new potential borrowers by conducting door‑to‑door outreach, community events, and referrals.
  • Provide on‑site economic counseling and financial literacy coaching to household heads, ensuring they understand loan terms and repayment schedules.
  • Gather, verify, and document applicant information through surveys and interviews, adhering strictly to Amartha’s data‑collection standards.
  • Perform feasibility and credit‑worthiness analyses of loan applications, evaluating income streams, collateral, and repayment capacity in line with internal risk policies.
  • Prepare concise recommendation reports for the financing committee, highlighting key risk factors and growth potential.
  • Accompany weekly member meetings, facilitate group discussions, and monitor the disbursement and utilization of funds.
  • Maintain accurate field reports, update the CRM system daily, and flag any irregularities or signs of fraud promptly.
  • Collaborate with local partners, village officials, and other NGOs to foster a supportive ecosystem for borrowers.
  • Participate in regular training sessions, share best practices with peers, and contribute to continuous improvement of field processes.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; D3/S1 graduates are highly preferred.
  • Age: up to 33 years old.
  • Open to all genders.
  • Own a reliable two‑wheel vehicle (motorcycle) for daily field travel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; local dialects are a plus.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess credit applications and household economics.
  • High integrity – no prior involvement in fraud or unethical practices.
  • Willingness to work in the field from Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 19:00, and to relocate to any Amartha branch as business needs dictate.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome; however, candidates with prior field or micro‑finance experience are highly valued.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust, negotiate effectively, and solve problems quickly.
