The position offers a flexible, remote work environment, allowing you to deliver high‑quality lessons via Zoom or Google Meet from the comfort of your own home.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned Malay language lessons (both oral and written) tailored to each student’s proficiency level.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and interactive activities that foster speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Conduct live online sessions using Zoom, Google Meet, or other video‑conferencing tools, ensuring a smooth technical setup.
- Assess student progress through quizzes, assignments, and informal observations, providing constructive feedback after each session.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson content, and performance metrics in the company’s learning management system.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, or guardians to discuss goals, address challenges, and celebrate achievements.
- Stay updated on current pedagogical trends, Malay language resources, and digital teaching tools to continuously improve instructional quality.
- Participate in occasional virtual training sessions and peer‑review meetings to share best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree (S1) in Education, Malay Language, Linguistics, or a related field.
- Fluent in Bahasa Melayu – both spoken and written, with a solid grasp of grammar, vocabulary, and cultural nuances.
- Previous teaching experience (formal classroom or informal tutoring) is highly desirable, though fresh graduates with strong communication skills are welcome.
- Proficiency in conducting online lessons via Zoom, Google Meet, or similar platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: patient, communicative, and responsible.
- Own reliable computer, high‑speed internet connection, webcam, and headset to ensure professional‑grade delivery.
- Availability to work Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00 (flexible shift options can be arranged).
