Introduction

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs with ingredient preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning vegetables, meats, and herbs.
  • Maintain clean and sanitary workstations, adhering to food safety standards and local health regulations.
  • Restock supplies and inventory items throughout the shift, notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
  • Support the execution of menu items during peak service periods, ensuring timely delivery to the line.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, ovens, and grills under supervision.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate prep schedules, minimize waste, and optimize workflow.
  • Handle basic cooking tasks such as sautéing, grilling, and plating under the guidance of senior cooks.
  • Participate in daily cleaning routines, including dishwashing, floor sweeping, and waste disposal.
  • Adapt to shift rotations, including morning, afternoon, and double‑shift assignments as needed.
  • Provide courteous and proactive communication with front‑of‑house staff to address special requests and dietary restrictions.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA), Vocational High School (SMK), or equivalent.
  • Age: Open to all candidates; no upper age limit.

  • Experience: Prior experience in the F&B sector is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Core skills: Basic cooking techniques, knife handling, and familiarity with kitchen hygiene.
