Responsibilities

  • Prepare, portion, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, slicers, and food processors safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in receiving, storing, and rotating inventory to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
  • Conduct regular cleaning and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas in compliance with health‑code regulations.
  • Support senior chefs and line cooks during peak service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
  • Monitor food quality, temperature, and portion control, reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Participate in daily briefings, providing feedback on workflow, stock levels, and any operational challenges.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper handling of knives, hot surfaces, and hazardous materials.
  • Maintain a “no drama” workplace by communicating respectfully, resolving conflicts constructively, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA), Vocational School (SMK), or equivalent.
  • Open to all genders; diversity and inclusion are core values.
  • At least 6 months of hands‑on experience in the F&B sector, preferably within a commercial kitchen.
  • Demonstrated good attitude, strong work ethic, and “mental baja” – resilience under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to cooperate effectively with chefs, servers, and fellow crew members.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays without concurrent employment elsewhere.
  • Honesty, punctuality, and a commitment to taking responsibility for one’s tasks.
  • Basic proficiency in operating kitchen appliances and tools.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required.
