Introduction

We are seeking a motivated Cook Helper – Kitchen Operations Support to join our dynamic culinary team at our Glodok location. This entry‑level position is ideal for individuals who are eager to develop hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced kitchen environment while supporting our chefs and kitchen staff. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining smooth daily operations, ensuring food preparation standards are met, and contributing to a positive, collaborative workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior cooks and chefs with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, ensuring all surfaces, equipment, and utensils are sanitized according to health regulations.
  • Support the timely set‑up of cooking stations for lunch and dinner service, restocking supplies as needed.
  • Monitor inventory levels of basic pantry items and report shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper storage temperatures and labeling.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, communicating any issues or special requests to the lead chef.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, checking for accuracy and quality of incoming goods.
  • Participate in routine kitchen deep‑cleaning tasks, such as floor sweeping, waste disposal, and equipment polishing.
  • Continuously learn new cooking techniques and kitchen procedures, demonstrating a fast‑learning attitude.
  • Adhere to the scheduled work hours: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age: Open to all candidates; no upper age limit.
  • Gender: Open to all genders.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a kitchen or food‑service environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Honest, personable, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Strong work ethic, fast learner, and reliable with a sense of responsibility.
  • Basic cooking skills and familiarity with common kitchen equipment.
  • Willingness to be stationed at our Glodok facility.
