Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Field Collection Team Member for our Dumai branch to join a dynamic debt‑recovery operation based in Riau. The role focuses on direct contact with delinquent borrowers, delivering formal notice letters, validating payment status, and negotiating repayment plans. This position offers a stable Monday‑to‑Friday schedule (09:00‑18:00) and provides an opportunity to develop strong interpersonal and analytical skills while contributing to the financial health of our institution.
Responsibilities
- Visit assigned debtor locations throughout Riau and deliver Surat Peringatan (SP) to accounts with arrears exceeding 20 days.
- Validate the debtor’s current situation, conduct a thorough analysis of outstanding obligations, and record findings in the company’s CRM system.
- Negotiate realistic payment options, tailoring repayment schedules to the borrower’s cash‑flow capabilities while safeguarding the lender’s interests.
- Track promised payment dates, follow up consistently, and initiate further collection actions if commitments are not met.
- Locate hard‑to‑reach customers by conducting field research, contacting references, and verifying residential or business addresses.
- Ensure all customer contact information—phone numbers, email addresses, and physical locations—is accurate and up‑to‑date.
- Prepare detailed activity reports after each visit, highlighting outcomes, challenges, and next steps for supervisory review.
- Maintain a meticulous log of all collection activities, including dates, times, communications, and agreements reached.
- Collaborate closely with team leaders and the finance department to align collection strategies with overall portfolio performance goals.
- Adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards governing debt collection practices in Indonesia.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Male candidates only; age not exceeding 50 years.
- Residency in Riau is mandatory to ensure rapid response times and local market knowledge.
- No prior collection experience required; however, strong willingness to learn and adapt is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a proven ability to influence outcomes.
- Solid organizational abilities, attention to detail, and proficiency in documenting field activities.
- Basic computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office and data entry tools.
- Physical stamina to travel extensively across the region and conduct on‑site visits.
- High ethical standards, discretion, and respect for customer confidentiality.
