Introduction
Rumah Kita Polban, the on‑campus childcare and early learning center of Politeknik Negeri Bandung, is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Guru Daycare professionals to join our vibrant team. This role is centered on providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children ages 2‑6 while supporting their cognitive, social, and emotional development. The successful candidate will work closely with parents, teachers, and administrative staff to ensure that each child’s day is filled with purposeful learning activities, consistent routines, and caring supervision.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and accompany children throughout the daycare schedule, ensuring safety and engagement at all times.
- Design, adapt, and implement age‑appropriate stimulation activities that align with developmental milestones, including motor skill games, language enrichment, and creative arts.
- Foster independence by encouraging children to perform self‑care tasks such as dressing, feeding, and tidying up, while promoting positive behavior through praise and gentle correction.
- Maintain a clean, hygienic, and secure learning environment that complies with health regulations and the institution’s SOPs.
- Prepare daily observation reports documenting each child’s progress, mood, nutrition, and any incidents, and share these insights with parents and senior staff.
- Communicate professionally with parents, providing updates, addressing concerns, and offering guidance on child‑development topics.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to plan interdisciplinary projects, share resources, and participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions.
- Adhere strictly to the center’s policies, local education standards, and the Politeknik Negeri Bandung’s code of conduct.
- Participate in periodic performance evaluations and continuous‑learning workshops to stay current with early‑childhood pedagogy.
Requirements
- Female candidates only, as per the center’s policy.
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (S1); preferred majors include Early Childhood Education (PAUD), Psychology, General Education, or related fields.
- At least 2 years of hands‑on experience in a daycare, kindergarten, or early‑learning setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development theories and the ability to apply the “sentra” learning methodology or similar child‑centered approaches.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for nurturing young learners.
- Good physical health and emotional resilience to handle the dynamic pace of a childcare environment.
- Willingness to attend regular training sessions, obtain relevant certifications (e.g., CPR, early‑childhood safety), and participate in evaluation processes.
- Additional assets: prior experience in a formal PAUD program, certifications in early‑childhood education, or familiarity with child‑centered learning frameworks.
