Responsibilities
- Accurately process cash, debit, and credit transactions using the store’s point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, performing regular reconciliations.
- Greet customers warmly, answer product‑related questions, and provide recommendations to enhance the shopping experience.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels at the checkout area, report low‑stock items, and assist with restocking shelves as needed.
- Generate daily sales reports, track key performance indicators, and communicate any discrepancies to the store manager.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized checkout zone, including the proper display of promotional materials.
- Participate in periodic training sessions to stay current on new POS features, product knowledge, and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth store operations and a seamless customer journey.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Age: 18 years or older.
- Residency: Must be domiciled in Banjarmasin or willing to relocate.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- Strong willingness to learn and adapt to fast‑paced retail environments.
- Basic numeracy and computer literacy; familiarity with POS or cash register systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; ability to interact courteously with diverse customers.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a professional attitude toward attendance and dress code.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or retail setting is advantageous but not mandatory; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
