Introduction
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manajer Operasional Gudang Plastik to lead our plastic warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the flow of goods, ensuring optimal storage layout, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. This role is pivotal in supporting our supply chain, guaranteeing that raw materials and finished products move seamlessly from inbound receipt to outbound distribution. The position reports directly to the Operations Director and works closely with procurement, production, and logistics teams to align warehouse activities with overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
- Supervise the inbound and outbound movement of plastic raw materials and finished goods, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing.
- Monitor and control inventory levels using Warehouse Management System (WMS) tools, conducting regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Design and implement efficient warehouse layout plans, optimizing space utilization, material flow, and safety zones.
- Coordinate with the procurement department to schedule deliveries, manage dock appointments, and resolve any discrepancies in shipments.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping activities.
- Conduct regular safety audits, ensure compliance with occupational health regulations, and lead emergency response drills.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, turnaround time, and storage cost per cubic meter, and present improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Maintain relationships with third‑party logistics providers, negotiate service contracts, and monitor carrier performance.
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, to generate reports, forecasts, and presentations for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Male candidates (as per the specific requirement of the client).
- Age not exceeding 45 years.
- Proven expertise in overseeing inbound/outbound processes and warehouse layout design.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Analytical mindset and problem‑solving abilities to identify bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in handling plastic materials.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 08:00‑16:00, with occasional overtime during peak seasons.
