The successful candidate will work closely with operations, finance, and culinary teams to align purchasing activities with the company’s overall business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic sourcing plan that supports the operational needs of all hotel and restaurant locations.
- Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities, new product innovations, and emerging trends in the hospitality industry.
- Lead negotiations with vendors, ensuring favorable terms, volume discounts, and reliable delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate demand forecasts in collaboration with the culinary, housekeeping, and facilities teams to avoid stock‑outs or excess inventory.
- Oversee the full procurement cycle—from requisition approval, purchase order issuance, to receipt and verification of goods.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, local regulations, and ethical standards throughout the purchasing process.
- Monitor supplier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time delivery, quality compliance, and cost variance.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting savings achieved, risk exposures, and strategic recommendations.
- Coach and mentor junior purchasing staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data‑driven decision making.
- Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and manage the procurement budget.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent; a diploma or degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a strong advantage.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in purchasing or procurement within the hotel and restaurant sector.
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to achieve cost reductions without compromising quality.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple purchase orders simultaneously.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills; fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is required, and English proficiency is preferred.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Ability to work Monday‑Saturday, 08:00‑17:00, with flexibility to handle urgent supply issues.
