Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Mekanik Mobil – Perawatan dan Perbaikan Kendaraan to join our fast‑growing automotive service centre. The successful candidate will work hands‑on with a diverse range of passenger cars, performing routine maintenance, diagnosing mechanical issues, and delivering high‑quality repairs that keep our customers safe on the road. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, oil changes, brake servicing, tire rotations, and filter replacements according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose engine, transmission, suspension, and electrical problems using diagnostic tools, visual assessments, and test drives.
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble components such as brakes, clutches, fuel systems, and cooling systems, ensuring all work meets safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, including parts used, labor hours, and recommendations for future maintenance.
- Communicate clearly with customers and service advisors to explain findings, repair options, cost estimates, and expected completion times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workbench, adhering to shop safety protocols and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Assist senior technicians with complex diagnostics and stay updated on the latest automotive technologies, especially for newer models.
- Participate in regular training sessions, workshops, and certification programs to enhance technical skills.
- Support inventory management by reporting low‑stock parts and suggesting efficient ordering practices.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent vocational training in automotive mechanics.
- Gender: Male (as specified by the client’s operational policy).
- Age range: 25 – 40 years old.
- Work experience: Prior experience in an automotive workshop is preferred, though fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude are welcome.
- Core skills: Solid understanding of mechanical systems, ability to read technical manuals, and proficiency with diagnostic equipment.
- Soft skills: Strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, good communication, teamwork, and a customer‑service mindset.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 kg, stand for long periods, and work in a noisy, oily environment.
- Commitment to adhere to the work schedule: Monday to Saturday, 08:00 – 17:00.
