Introduction
We are seeking a diligent Operator Sorter Ekspedisi to join our fast‑growing distribution centre (DC) in Bondowoso. This pivotal role supports the end‑to‑end flow of parcels, ensuring that each package is accurately sorted, scanned, and prepared for timely delivery. The position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, physically active environment and are committed to maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
The work schedule is Monday through Sunday, from 08:00 to 17:00, offering a stable routine with the possibility of overtime during peak seasons.
Responsibilities
- Sort parcels accurately according to designated delivery zones or barcode prefixes, minimizing routing errors.
- Load and unload goods from operational vehicles, handling both inbound shipments and outbound deliveries with care.
- Scan each package using the warehouse management system (WMS) to update real‑time tracking information.
- Arrange sorted packages neatly on pallets or sorting racks, ensuring they are protected from damage.
- Assist the supervisory team with loading and unloading procedures, following safety protocols and load‑balancing guidelines.
- Conduct regular visual inspections of parcels for signs of damage or mislabeling and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including sweeping floors, removing debris, and keeping sorting equipment in good condition.
- Collaborate with fellow operators and shift leaders to meet daily throughput targets and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Participate in periodic training sessions on new sorting technologies, safety standards, and process improvements.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMP/MTS or equivalent.
- Male candidates, age 40 years or younger.
- No prior experience required; on‑the‑job training will be provided.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to interpret sorting codes and operate scanning devices.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and carry packages weighing up to 25 kg for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with supervisors and team members.
- Commitment to workplace safety, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Analytical mindset for logistic processes, enabling identification of bottlenecks and suggestions for efficiency gains.
