Introduction
We are a dynamic, internationally‑focused language center seeking a part‑time English Language Tutor to join our team of enthusiastic educators. This role is ideal for recent graduates, exchange‑program alumni, or anyone with a strong command of English who is eager to make a meaningful impact on young learners ranging from preschool age to teenagers. The position offers flexible scheduling within our Monday‑to‑Saturday work week, allowing you to balance teaching with further studies or other professional commitments.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that align with our curriculum standards and cater to the developmental needs of preschoolers and adolescents.
- Utilize interactive teaching methods—including games, songs, role‑plays, and digital learning platforms—to foster active participation and improve language retention.
- Assess student progress through informal observation, quizzes, and portfolio reviews, providing constructive feedback to both learners and parents.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence, curiosity, and cultural awareness.
- Collaborate with fellow tutors and curriculum designers to share resources, discuss best practices, and continuously improve instructional strategies.
- Participate in regular staff meetings, professional development workshops, and occasional community outreach events.
- Document lesson outcomes and attendance records accurately using our online management system.
Requirements
- Minimum education: High school diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent; a college degree in English, Education, or a related field is a strong plus.
- Age between 20 and 29 years.
- Excellent spoken and written English proficiency; IELTS or TOEFL certification is required for candidates without prior international experience.
- Demonstrated passion for teaching and a genuine interest in the holistic development of young learners.
- Experience in international exchange programs such as IYEP, AYEP, SSEAYP, AIYEP, JENESYS, IISMA, or similar, is highly advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, share ideas openly, and adapt to feedback.
- Basic familiarity with educational technology tools (e.g., interactive whiteboards, language learning apps).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage classroom time efficiently.
