Introduction
Rian Kost Pakjo is seeking a dedicated Penjaga Kost (kost house caretaker) to join our team in Palembang. Responsibilities
- Maintain the security of the kost facility by monitoring entry points, verifying guest identities, and responding promptly to any safety concerns.
- Perform daily cleaning duties across common areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and individual rooms to ensure high standards of hygiene.
- Manage waste disposal, recycling, and ensure proper sanitation of toilets and kitchen facilities.
- Oversee the upkeep of the surrounding garden and outdoor spaces, including mowing, watering, and litter removal.
- Assist residents with routine inquiries, provide directions, and handle minor maintenance requests such as light bulb replacement or faucet repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities, reporting any damages or maintenance needs to management.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, toiletries, and basic kitchen stock, and place orders when necessary.
- Prepare and serve simple meals or coordinate with a kitchen staff when required, ensuring that residents receive nutritious food on schedule.
- Keep accurate daily logs of activities, incidents, and visitor records for management review.
- Uphold a courteous and professional demeanor, fostering a respectful atmosphere among residents and staff.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- Male candidates only; must be a non‑smoker.
- No upper age limit, but candidates should be physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
- Honest, responsible, and able to work independently without direct supervision.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact politely with a diverse resident base.
- Must be single (not yet married) and not currently enrolled in a university program.
- Good mental and spiritual health; creativity and problem‑solving abilities are valued.
- Submit a recent passport‑style photograph, a cover letter, and a detailed curriculum vitae.
- Provide photocopies of KTP (Identity Card) and Kartu Keluarga (Family Card).
- Willingness to reside on‑site in the kost facilities for the duration of employment.
