Introduction
We are seeking a reliable and disciplined Daily Backup Security Officer to join our team in Medan Helvetia. This position is specifically designed to provide immediate coverage for security personnel who are unavailable, ensuring that our clients receive uninterrupted protection at all times. The role involves working a 12‑hour shift, Monday through Saturday, and requires candidates who can quickly adapt to dynamic environments while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a backup or replacement for absent security staff, arriving promptly at the scheduled shift start time.
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of assigned premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential hazards.
- Monitor entry points, verify identification, and manage visitor logs in accordance with client security protocols.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, providing immediate assistance and coordinating with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Maintain detailed incident reports, daily activity logs, and hand‑over notes for the next shift.
- Enforce company policies, enforce access control measures, and ensure all security equipment (e.g., radios, flashlights) is functional.
- Assist in crowd control during events, deliveries, or high‑traffic periods, ensuring orderly flow and safety of all personnel.
- Perform routine checks of fire safety equipment, surveillance cameras, and other security systems.
- Uphold a professional appearance by wearing personal uniform and maintaining a clean, presentable demeanor at all times.
Requirements
- Male candidates only, in accordance with the client’s specific staffing policy.
- Maximum age of 40 years.
- Minimum education: High School Diploma (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
- At least one (1) year of proven experience in security or related field.
- Active Kartu Tanda Anggota (KTA) and certified as a Garda Pratama (GP).
- Own complete security uniform, including appropriate footwear and identification badge.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including night and weekend schedules.
- Ability to work continuously for a 12‑hour shift (08:00 – 20:00) and maintain alertness throughout.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in Bahasa Indonesia.
- Basic knowledge of first‑aid procedures and emergency response protocols.
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties, stand for long periods, and respond quickly to incidents.
