Introduction

We are seeking enthusiastic and customer‑focused individuals to join Maly Siwak as Restaurant Service Staff – Waiter / Waitress. This frontline position plays a vital role in delivering a memorable dining experience, from greeting guests with a warm smile to ensuring every dish is served promptly and accurately. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, and eager to grow within the hospitality industry while adhering to the high standards of cleanliness, courtesy, and professionalism that define our brand.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests politely, present menus, and answer questions about dishes, ingredients, and special promotions.
  • Memorise the full menu, including the nutritional benefits and unique selling points of each product, and convey this information confidently.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, repeat orders for confirmation, and input them promptly.
  • Serve meals and drinks in a timely manner, ensuring proper presentation, correct portion sizes, and adherence to dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including clearing tables, resetting settings, and performing routine floor checks.
  • Handle cash transactions, process credit card payments, and reconcile daily sales reports with honesty and precision.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, such as stocking supplies, polishing glassware, and polishing the dining floor.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to manage rush periods and special events.
  • Observe and enforce the restaurant’s dress code: Maly Siwak uniform, black trousers, and black shoes (any brand).
  • Adhere to the rotating shift schedule – two‑week blocks of Shift 1 (08:30‑19:30) followed by Shift 2 (11:30‑22:30) – and be flexible for weekend and holiday coverage.
  • Provide exceptional service during peak times, earning additional tips and performance‑based incentives.
  • Stay away from personal gadgets while on the floor to maintain focus on guest interaction.
  • Participate in brief daily briefings, share feedback, and suggest improvements to service flow.
  • Perform basic cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and ensuring the restaurant smells fresh and inviting.
  • Respect religious practices by observing mandatory prayer times as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
  • Age between 20 and 35 years.
  • Open to all genders.
  • No prior experience required; fresh graduates are welcome.
  • Strong communication skills – polite, gentle, and capable of speaking clearly with guests.
  • Ability to learn and operate a cash register and POS system quickly.
  • High level of integrity and honesty, especially when handling cash.
  • Disciplined attitude toward attendance, punctuality, and adherence to shift rotations.
  • Willingness to memorize the menu and its health benefits.
  • Adaptability to work six days a week (Monday‑Sunday) with rotating days off on Tuesday or Wednesday.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean appearance and personal hygiene.
  • Readiness to cover public holidays and special occasions; extra incentives are provided for holiday work.
