Introduction
We are seeking a dedicated Spesialis Perawatan dan Penataan Bulu Hewan (Animal Grooming Specialist) to join our growing team in Palembang. This role is perfect for enthusiastic individuals who love working with a variety of pets—including dogs, cats, and exotic animals—and who are eager to develop professional grooming skills in a supportive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high‑quality grooming services, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and ensuring each client (both pet and owner) leaves satisfied.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive grooming services such as bathing, brushing, hair trimming, nail clipping, and ear cleaning for dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
- Assess each animal’s coat condition and recommend appropriate grooming techniques or products.
- Maintain strict hygiene and sanitation standards for all grooming tools and workstations.
- Handle pets gently and confidently, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the grooming process.
- Provide basic health observations (e.g., skin irritations, parasites) and communicate findings to pet owners.
- Manage appointment schedules, prepare work orders, and keep accurate records of services rendered.
- Collaborate with teammates to maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming salon atmosphere.
- Participate in continuous training sessions to stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Assist in inventory control, ordering grooming supplies, and ensuring stock levels are adequate.
- Offer friendly, clear communication with pet owners, answering questions and providing grooming advice.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK/STM or equivalent.
- Age: maximum 24 years old.
- Residency: must reside in or be willing to relocate to Palembang.
- Passion for animals and willingness to work with dogs, cats, and exotic pets.
- Strong desire to learn, develop grooming expertise, and grow within the pet‑care industry.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight schedules, and handle shift work.
- Excellent communication skills; capable of interacting professionally with clients and team members.
- Team player who can also operate independently when required.
- Basic proficiency with Canva and video editing tools is a plus for creating promotional content.
- No prior professional grooming experience required, but a genuine interest and quick learning ability are essential.
