To sustain our growth and uphold the high standards of our brand, we are seeking an experienced Supervisor Operasional Furniture Jati to lead our shop floor operations, coordinate production schedules, and ensure seamless delivery of finished products to our valued customers.
This full‑time position operates Monday through Saturday, from 08:00 to 17:00, and reports directly to the Operations Manager. The ideal candidate will combine hands‑on experience in teak furniture with strong organizational, communication, and basic marketing skills.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily shop floor activities, ensuring that all workstations adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Coordinate production schedules for custom and stock teak pieces, balancing order urgency with resource availability.
- Oversee the finishing process, including sanding, staining, and sealing, to guarantee a consistent, high‑quality finish on every item.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials, hardware, and finished goods, conducting regular stock counts and liaising with procurement for timely replenishment.
- Train and mentor junior staff on proper tool usage, computer systems for order tracking, and basic sales techniques.
- Implement basic marketing initiatives such as product displays, promotional signage, and social media updates to increase foot traffic and online engagement.
- Act as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, handling complaints professionally and ensuring swift resolution.
- Prepare daily and weekly operational reports, highlighting production output, material consumption, and any operational bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with the design team to interpret custom orders and translate client specifications into actionable production plans.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations related to wood sourcing and waste disposal.
Requirements
- Minimum education: SMA/SMK or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in the teak furniture industry, preferably in a supervisory or lead role.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (MS Office, inventory software, and order management systems).
- Solid understanding of teak finishing techniques, including the selection of stains, sealants, and polishing methods.
- Basic knowledge of media and marketing concepts to support promotional activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia; basic English proficiency is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
