Introduction
We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable private tutors to join our reputable tutoring network in Bandung. The primary focus of this role is to deliver high‑quality instruction in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry to senior high school (SMA) students, either in the comfort of the students’ homes or at our dedicated private tutoring centre. This position offers a dynamic teaching environment where educators can make a tangible impact on students’ academic performance and confidence.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or any combination of these subjects, tailored to the curriculum and individual student needs.
- Conduct one‑on‑one or small‑group tutoring sessions at the student’s residence or at our Bandung office, adhering to the scheduled time slots between 08:00 and 21:00, Monday through Sunday.
- Assess student progress regularly through quizzes, problem‑solving exercises, and informal questioning, providing constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and submit detailed teaching reports to the administrative team after each session.
- Collaborate with fellow tutors and administrative staff to develop supplemental learning materials, practice worksheets, and mock exams.
- Stay updated on the latest educational standards, examination formats, and pedagogical techniques relevant to the Indonesian high‑school curriculum.
- Provide mentorship and study‑skill advice, helping students develop effective time‑management and self‑learning strategies.
- Participate in periodic training workshops and professional development sessions organized by the centre.
Requirements
- Minimum education: D3/D4 (associate degree) or current university student pursuing a relevant degree.
- Age: 30 years old or younger.
- Gender: Open to all genders.
- At least 1 year of proven experience in private tutoring or classroom teaching, preferably with high‑school students.
- Strong command of Mathematics, Physics, and/or Chemistry concepts, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate learners.
- Reliable transportation; possession of a valid SIM C driver’s license is highly preferred.
- Commitment to punctuality, professionalism, and maintaining a safe learning environment.
